Each waffle can be cut into three double-finger servings or six single-row servings, depending on your preference & the look you are going for. Chocolate/ Caramel Sauce: Choose a high-quality chocolate or caramel sauce to drizzle over your waffles. You can either make these sauces at home or purchase them from the store. For a homemade version, you can melt chocolate with a bit of cream for a rich chocolate sauce or caramelise sugar and mix it with butter and cream for a smooth caramel sauce. Icing Sugar: Also known as powdered sugar or confectioners’ sugar, icing sugar is perfect for dusting over your waffles to add a touch of sweetness and a decorative finish. Simply use a fine sieve to lightly sprinkle the sugar over the top. Macadamias: Chopped macadamia nuts make a delicious and crunchy garnish for your waffles. You can toast them lightly in a dry pan to enhance their flavor. Sprinkle the chopped nuts over the waffles just before serving for added texture and a nutty taste. Frozen Raspberries: Frozen raspberries are a convenient and flavourful garnish. Allow them to thaw slightly before using. You can scatter them over the waffles for a burst of colour and tangy flavour. Alternatively, you can create a quick raspberry sauce by heating the raspberries with a bit of sugar and lemon juice until they break down and form a sauce.Instructions:Defrost your waffles: If you are using frozen waffles, take them out of the freezer and let them sit at room temperature for a few minutes until they are fully defrosted. This will help ensure they toast evenly and achieve a nice, crisp texture. Toast your Waffles: Once the waffles are defrosted, place them in the toaster. Set your toaster to a medium-high setting and toast the waffles until they are golden brown and crispy. This usually takes about 3-5 minutes, but toaster times can vary, so keep an eye on them to prevent burning. Cut your waffles: Using a sharp knife, carefully cut each toasted waffle into finger-sized pieces. You can cut each waffle into three double-finger servings or six single-finger servings, depending on your desired portion size. For best results, use a sawing motion. Add your Favourite sauces: Take large shot glasses or canapé glasses and pour a small amount of sauce into each one. You can use chocolate, caramel, white chocolate, or raspberry sauce, depending on your preference. The sauce will serve as a flavorful base for your waffle fingers. Garnish: Top the waffle fingers with your chosen garnishes. Sprinkle a dusting of icing sugar over the waffles for sweetness and a decorative touch. Add chopped macadamia nuts for a crunchy texture. Place a few thawed frozen raspberries on top for a burst of colour and tangy flavour. Serve & Enjoy: Arrange the prepared waffle fingers in the glasses with the sauce and garnishes. Serve immediately while the waffles are still warm and crispy. Its deep flavours of caramel, nuts, and dark fruits complement the richness of the chocolate sauce. Chardonnay: An oaked Chardonnay, with its buttery and vanilla notes, complements the smooth, creamy texture of caramel sauce. Look for one with a hint of spice for added depth. Moscato d’Asti: This lightly sparkling wine from Italy, with its low alcohol content and sweet, fruity flavours, pairs perfectly with the simplicity of waffles dusted with icing sugar. Its notes of peach, apricot, and citrus add a refreshing contrast. Prosecco: A dry or off-dry Prosecco brings a crisp, light effervescence that balances the sweetness of the icing sugar and sauce making each bite and sip refreshing. Sherry: A nutty Amontillado or Oloroso Sherry complements the buttery, creamy flavour of macadamias. These sherries have rich, complex flavours with hints of toffee, making them a great match. Riesling: An off-dry Riesling with notes of citrus, green apple, and a touch of sweetness pairs well with the macadamias, enhancing their subtle nuttiness while balancing the overall sweetness of the dish. Rosé: A dry or slightly sweet rosé wine, with its bright acidity and notes of strawberry, raspberry, and citrus, pairs beautifully with the tartness of frozen raspberries, adding a refreshing burst of flavour. Champagne: A Brut or Demi-Sec Champagne, with its crisp acidity and hints of apple, pear, and citrus, complements the tart raspberries while adding a touch of elegance to the dessert.FREE Recipe CardsMORE RecipesAbout MeFollow us on Social Media facebook instagram pinterestAnnaHey there, it's Anna!
